Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Amr Aly brings more than 10 years of experience in dentistry to Winthrop Street Dentistry, with a special focus on traveling endodontic care. His favorite part of dentistry is simple but meaningful: getting patients out of pain. He is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable, addressing the source of their dental discomfort, and providing the care they need to get back to feeling like themselves.

Dr. Aly earned his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, before receiving his dental degree from Boston University. His career has given him extensive experience in both clinical dentistry and practice leadership. He previously served as the lead dentist for a practice serving underserved communities in Lawrence, Massachusetts, and later became Managing Clinical Director for Aspen Dental in Worcester, where he helped lead the practice through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dr. Aly went on to establish a start-up dental practice in Manchester, Connecticut. Today, he provides traveling endodontic services to dental practices throughout Massachusetts and Connecticut. He especially values the opportunity to help patients experiencing dental pain who may otherwise have difficulty accessing endodontic treatment within their insurance networks.

Originally from New Jersey, Dr. Aly is the oldest of three siblings—and with both of his siblings working as pharmacists, the family still enjoys debating who the “real doctor” is! He also has the distinction of having been the youngest student in his dental school class.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Aly is a huge basketball fan and especially enjoys cheering on the Los Angeles Lakers. During football season, you can find him watching the Kansas City Chiefs on Sundays. He also enjoys traveling whenever he gets the opportunity and loves discovering new cultures and cuisines.
